Tegan Brindley's THERAPEUTIC Modalities
Attachment-based
Attachment-based therapy addresses patterns formed in early relationships that affect current relationships. This approach helps individuals understand how early attachment experiences influence emotional regulation, relationship dynamics, and personal development.
Emotionally Focused
Emotionally Focused approaches help clients identify, explore, and process emotions to create positive change. These therapeutic methods focus on emotional awareness, expression, and regulation to improve personal well-being and interpersonal relationships.
Experiential Therapy
Experiential Therapy uses activities and experiences to help clients access and express emotions. This dynamic approach incorporates role-playing, movement, guided imagery, and creative arts to process emotions, gain self-awareness, and develop new perspectives.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems helps individuals integrate different parts of themselves. This non-pathologizing approach acknowledges inner multiplicity, helping clients understand and harmonize various aspects of their personality for greater self-leadership and healing.
Narrative
Narrative Therapy helps clients separate themselves from their problems and rewrite their life stories. This collaborative approach views people as experts in their lives and problems as separate from identity, creating space for preferred stories and identities.
Person-Centered
Person-Centered Therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, creates a supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings with a therapist who demonstrates genuine empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. Rather than directing your journey, we trust in your natural capacity for growth and healing, believing that when provided with these core conditions, you'll discover meaningful insights and solutions that align with your unique values and needs. This humanistic approach honors your inner wisdom and empowers you to develop greater self-awareness and personal growth at your own pace.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic Therapy examines how past experiences influence current patterns. This insight-oriented approach explores unconscious processes, early relationships, and defense mechanisms to develop self-awareness and more adaptive functioning.
Trauma Focused
Trauma-Focused Therapy addresses the impact of traumatic experiences on mental health. These specialized approaches help individuals process traumatic memories, reduce symptoms, and develop coping skills to recover from psychological trauma.
