Bill Frye
LMFT
I help couples rebuild connection when communication has broken down, trust has been damaged, or the relationship feels stuck. My work includes couples therapy, discernment counseling, infidelity recovery, sexual addiction concerns, and co-parenting challenges. I’m trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I bring a grounded, direct, and compassionate approach to helping couples slow things down, understand what is happening beneath the conflict, and decide what healing or next steps may look like. On a limited basis, I also provide individual therapy, including sand tray therapy for children and Lifespan Integration for those working through past trauma.

Bill's THERAPIST'S Statement
Bill Frye: Helping couples learn to communicate in ways that actually work, rebuild trust, heal after infidelity, and find the closeness you once had.
Relationships can lose their way. I help couples in Spokane reconnect, heal, and move forward with intention, bringing both clinical expertise and the grounded perspective of a retired military veteran.
When communication breaks down, it can feel like you’re living with a stranger, or stuck in the same painful patterns with no clear way out. Our couples therapy work is designed to help you slow things down, understand what’s really happening beneath the surface, and begin to rebuild connection, trust, and closeness.
As a certified discernment counselor, I also support partners at a crossroads, helping them thoughtfully consider whether to repair and reconnect, or move toward separation with clarity and care.
I’m trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I work with complex challenges including infidelity, sexual addiction, and co-parenting, creating space for honesty, accountability, and meaningful change.
On a limited basis, I also offer individual therapy, including sand tray therapy for children and Lifespan Integration for those working through past trauma. Murray, my certified therapy dog, is always happy to join us in session if that feels right for you.
As an AAMFT Clinical Fellow, I bring specialized training in marriage and family therapy alongside real-life perspective shaped by years of military service. That combination tends to matter, especially for couples navigating high-stakes moments in their relationship.

Attachment-based therapy addresses patterns formed in early relationships that affect current relationships. This approach helps individuals understand how early attachment experiences influence emotional regulation, relationship dynamics, and personal development.
Faith Integrated Counseling
We offer a Faith Integrated therapeutic approach that honors your unique spiritual journey and values. Rather than promoting any specific belief system, we create a respectful space where you can explore how your faith, spirituality, and personal values guide your healing process. We combine evidence-based therapeutic practices with sensitivity to your spiritual perspective, supporting holistic well-being that encompasses mind, body, and spirit in alignment with what matters most to you.
