Annie Gerut
My name is Annie Gerut and I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gonzaga University (Go Zags!). I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). Additionally, I have received training in working with high-conflict families and trauma-informed care.
Seeking support is a courageous step toward connection and guidance, not a sign of failure! Life challenges can leave us feeling stuck, and hope can be a catalyst for transformative change through the therapeutic relationship. The counselor-client fit is essential to your journey, and I am here to help! I approach clients with empathy, valuing each individual's unique experiences, and I tailor counseling methods to align with what works best for you, ensuring personalized support for your growth and progress. Together, we can explore the roots of you, or your child’s distress and implement effective tools for healing, growth, and gaining a deeper understanding of
yourself.
Outside of the counseling office, my interests span far and wide from traveling to new places, listening to music, spending quality time with my golden retriever, Laddie Boy, and having a knack in finding humor and appreciation of life’s quirks.
The unknowns of counseling can feel overwhelming at times, and making that initial call can be intimidating. I am more than happy to have a free 15-minute phone call or email exchange to see if working together feels right for you. I look forward to talking with you!
